This delicious wholesome dish is a fabulous winter warmer. Made with lamb mince and creamy mash, this is a surefire hit with both family and dinner guests!

  1. Heat the oil
  2. Fry the onion with the salt, chillies, garlic and ginger paste until slightly brown
  3. Add the mince and stir fry on a high heat until the mince has turned from reddish pink to brownish colour
  4. Add all of the spices and cook on a high hear for a minute
  5. Add the tomatoes and turn down the heat
  6. Simmer for 30-40 minutes
  7. Add the pasta sauce and drained kidney beans
  8. Simmer for another 5 minutes
  9. Switch on oven on 200 degrees
  10. Place cooked mince in a ovenproof dish and spread out evenly with a spatula
  11. Season the mash potato with salt, pepper and a pinch of chilli powder and dried herbs
  12. Add the milk and butter and mash until smooth
  13. Spread over the mince and place in hot oven for 10-15 minutes until mash starts becoming golden brown
