Spicy Roast Potatoes

These Spicy Roast Potatoes are super simple spuds that make a delicious side snack and a great accompaniment to fish! Adjust the spices to suit your needs, but be sure to make enough to round!
Spicy Roast Potatoes

The simplicity of these Spicy Roast Potatoes allows you to modify the recipe to use whichever herbs and spices you desire.

6-7 medium sized potatoes
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp five spice aka panch pooran
sprinkle of sea salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
handful of chopped coriander


Scrub potatoes and cut into chunky large cubes and par boil.
Drain and toss gently in a pan with the lid to break up edges a little which will allow the potatoes to become crispy around the edges
Heat the olive oil a little and add the spice until they are tempered, approximately 20 seconds on a low heat
Switch off the heat and the add the potatoes and shake gently with the lid on to ensure potatoes are coated
Sprinkle with sea salt, lemon juice and a handful of chopped coriander
