Saffron and Cardamom Vermicilli

This great desert only requires four ingredients, five if you count the water!

This can be enjoyed as a dessert or added to some hot milk to keep you going for a few hours.
Saffron and Cardamom Vermicilli

Cook time: 20 mins
Total time: 25 mins
Serves: 4

300g roasted vermicilii
2 cups water
4 tbsp sugar or sweetener
1 tbsp olive oil spread (or butter)
3-4 cardamom pods shelled and crushed


Melt spread / butten in a pan
Break the vermicilli using your hands and add to the pan
Stir thoroughly coating the vermicilli
Place sugar in a bowl
Boil the water and add to the sugar and stir well
Add this sugar water to the vermicilli in the pan
Add the cardamon and stir well
Cook on lowest heat until water has evaporated
Serve hot or add to hot milk add serve in a glass
