Potato Seekh Kebabs

Potato Seekh Kebabs are just as pleasing to the eye as the chicken or lamb seekh kebabs. There is no reason why vegetarians should miss out on the lovely mounds of fluffy potato.

Potato Seekh Kebabs

Total time: 15 mins
Serves: 4
These tasty mounds of potato in the form of Potato Seekh Kebabs are a great veggie alternative to the traditional seekh kebabs.

500g boiled potatoes
1 egg white
4 tbsp breadcrumbs
2 green chillies finely chopped
handful of chopped mint leaves
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp crushed black pepper
2 tbsp rice flour
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste


Peel boiled potatoes and mash with a fork
Add in rice flour, chopped mint leaves, red chilli powder, breadcrumbs, salt to taste, crushed black pepper, chopped green chilies, seekh garam masala and egg white
Mix well and shape over soaked wooden skewers
Grill for 5 minutes each side under a hot grill until golden brown
Serve hot with chutney
