Karahi Murgh is one of my favourite authentic dishes. It is simple to make yet so delicious that whenever I make it there never seems to be enough. The sweet peppers, tomatoes, onions give it a subtle and fresh sweetness.

Karahi Murgh is an extremely popular Pakistani chicken dish made in a karahi.

A karahi is a type of thick, circular, and deep cooking pot (similar in shape to a wok)

- Heat the oil
- Add the onions, garlic and ginger paste, salt, pepper
- Saute the onions until slightly brown and softened
- Add the cumin seeds
- Add the chicken and cook on a hig heat until it turns white ie. sealed
- Add the remaining spices and cook on a high heat for 3 minutes
- Add the peppers, tomatoes, tomato puree and half a cup of water
- Simmer for 20 minutes
- Switch off the heat and add the green chillies and fresh coriander
- Serve with naan or Basmati rice
