A traditional Indian cooler, Indian Lemonade or Nimbu Pani is a thirst-quenching summer drink of which you will need more than one glass for sure! Drinking lemon relieves symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, bloating and belching. By drinking lemon juice regularly, the bowels are aided in eliminating waste more efficiently!
Ingredients
1 lime or lemon (lime is better)
sugar to taste, caster sugar dissolves faster but artificial sweetener can be used
1 1/2 glasses cold water placed in a jug
crushed ice
slice of lemon for each glass
sprigs of mint to garnish
Instructions
Squeeze lime/lemon juice into the jug of water
Add sugar to taste and stir to dissolve
Place some crushed ice (or cubes) and a lemon slice in each glass and pour the drink over
Serve straight away
