Healthy Chicken Tikka

These healthy chicken tikka are so simple and quick to make and are absolutely delicious. Eaten as a starter or a light main, these chicken kebabs are a firm favourite with both kids and grown-ups. They make great party snacks or finger food and can be marinated the night before and popped into the fridge and placed under a hot grill when needed.

These healthy chicken tikka are delicate and light and a great healthy source of protein for those trying to look for a non-carb mouth-watering dish.

  1. Cut chicken into 1 inch pieces
  2. Mix all of the ingredients except oil) together and add chicken pieces ensuring each piece is covered
  3. Leave overnight in fridge or for 20 minutes if you want to cook it now
  4. Preheat the grill on GM 6
  5. Either thread chicken onto skewers or place on a greased tray
  6. Baste with oil
  7. Place under a grill (approx.4-5 inches from heat) for 5 minutes
  8. Turn chicken pieces (carefully with fork), baste and grill other side of chicken pieces for 5 minutes
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with naan or pitta bread or on its own.
