Creme brulee are vanilla-rich puddings which are simply just a deliciously decadent baked custard! If you don’t own a mini blowtorch, caramelise them under the grill.

Creme brulee is a simply creamy dessert but here we make it just as tasty without the cream!
1 cup skimmed milk
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp brown sugar to caremelise at the end
Preheat oven to 180C or 350F
Lightly beat the egg in a bowl
Add and combine milk, sugar and vanilla
Place 2 ramekins or small cups into a medium sized casserole dish
Pour the mixture evenly into the two small dishes and then carefully pour an inch of hot water into the casserole dish
Do not splash any water into the ramekins or cups.
Bake for 35 mins or until a knife comes out clean…
Sprinkle a tsp of brown sugar on each ramekin andplace until a hot grill until light brown and caremelised
Allow to cool for 5 minutes
Crack into the caramel and enjoy!
